Terms of Service

By accessing or using Finly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

Finly is an AI-powered personal finance app: expense tracking, budgets, goals, debt payoff planning, Safe-to-Spend limits, and AI-generated coaching and insights, built from data you enter yourself or import from an uploaded statement file (CSV, PDF, or OFX). Finly does not currently maintain a live, automatic connection to your bank — any "connect your bank" flow in the app is illustrative and does not move real account data. The service, including anything an AI feature tells you, is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice; verify anything important before acting on it.

Categorization, chat, coaching, and insight features are generated by third-party AI models (currently Mistral AI and Google Gemini) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are also able to connect an external AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT) to your Finly account via OAuth, granting it access to act on your financial data through Finly's tools. You are responsible for what you authorize that assistant to do and can revoke its access at any time; Finly is not responsible for actions taken by an AI assistant you have connected.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account, including the accuracy of financial data you enter or import. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Finly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service, any errors in the data provided, AI-generated output, or the actions of a third-party AI assistant you have connected.
